My total spend on groceries and household items this week was $23.23.

Compared to everything I bought that doesn’t seem like a lot of money. Here is a breakdown of what I SAVED this week…

Manufacturer Coupons:                     $23.08
Walgreen’s Store Coupons:                   2.00
Wag Rewards Savings:                         39.58
Walgreens Register Rewards:            33.10
Price Chopper Member Savings:       22.32
Green Bags:                                                 .10
TOTAL SAVED:               $120.18
TOTAL SAVINGS:               84%

What did I learn about my spending this week?

1. I bought a LOT of iced tea! This is Brian’s favorite drink- and it was on sale for half off- I had a lot of register rewards to use so I used them to really stock up on his tea to save me money out of our weekly budget in the future.

2. We bought 9 packages of donuts from Price Chopper. Wow- we usually buy them on sale for $1.50 but this weekend they were only $0.99! We couldn’t pass up the deal- these aren’t the 6 donuts but the bag of Hostess Donuts! My kids are spending several day’s at Mema’s and then turning around and spending a week at their Grandma L’s. I like to be able to send special treats with them. So guess what they get to take with them? DONUTS!!

3. I went to a LOT of Walgreen’s. Mostly because I kept buying out all the tea! Luckily, two are on my way home from work and the other two were on our way home from Mema’s!

4. I use a LOT of coupons, and this week I had a lot of register rewards to use at Walgreen’s. If you want to find out more about how to use coupons and work Walgreen’s Reward Program I suggest heading over to Little People Wealth or Penny Pinchin’ Mom.

That is awesome!! I need to get back into keeping up to date with Walgreen’s deals. I used to coupon like crazy, but since baby girl was born it has been harder for me to stay up on it….

Amanda- thanks for stopping by again! It definitely takes a little time to coupon, but I love saving the money!! I really find the two sites I listed very helpful. At least I don’t have to search out the deals! I just look at the coupon match-ups and plan my trips!
