Goals Update: November, 2011

November was a break from blogging. It doesn’t seem like much happened at all in November. Well, except for Thanksgiving, the Girls’ 6th birthday, and the Kubota loan was paid off.

We have saved an additional 1% in our House Account! We are at 83% saved!

Slow and steady wins the race. At 1% savings a month it looks like we’ll be ready to build by April, 2014. *small groan*

We paid off an additional 2% of our outstanding debt! We only have 74% of our starting debt left!

Credit Card debt- We paid off an additional 2% of our credit card debt and are now left with only 42% to go. The Best Buy promotional balance is due this month, so we may see another jump in the repayment, but then it will level back off. The majority of the balances on our credit cards are due between August and October, 2012 so we will get VERY serious about payments in July.

Kubota- Are you ready for the last Kubota update?! We made the final payment on this loan in November. I am so excited to NOT have to worry about this payment anymore!

Student debt- We decreased my student debt by 2% in November leaving us at 89% to repay. We had a small tuition reimbursement forgiveness in November for May, 2010 tuition. But we can’t wait for the loan forgiveness amount we will see in December!

I can definitely tell we are winding down the year. I’m busy at work setting up budgets and don’t feel like writing about anything when we get home. We’re thinking a lot about celebrations that are coming up and what to do with the kids during their winter break from school.

December is going to bring us Christmas, and hopefully we can keep the added Christmas shopping to a minimum. But the kids always get plenty of things from their grandparents, though Hubby did ask everyone to take it easy on the toys this year.

December will also bring us the payoff of our Best Buy card (we need both the extra Discover Card and Kubota payments to help with the final payment for that card, but at least we don’t have to dip into our savings account). I think that will be the last big pay off that we’ll have until next August when some of the promotional balances through NFM start coming due and we start making large payments toward that card.

Good luck and Happy Holidays!
