The Gym and Swim Lessons

My biggest fear of having a gym membership has come true again! We have been paying monthly since we joined and along the way we just stopped going.

I have lots of excuses, but none really excuses us wasting money on a membership we weren’t using.

However, we receive a decent discount on swim lessons with our membership, and both kids (amazingly) have been asking for swim lessons. The trouble has been with me coordinating the start times- I’m always A week late or three weeks too early.

The stars have aligned and I was able to get it right this month! Yesterday, the kids started their second session of swim lessons, and Hubby & I both had our first work out of the year.

While I have been working longer hours since the release of one of my co-workers, I am determined to start actuallybtaking back my lunch period & hitting the gym again. I’m so drained by the end of the day, however when I was completing a quick 30 minute workout over lunch I felt a lot better in the afternoons and more focused. I really need to get thy focus back.

Starting this week, I am going to hold myself more accountable and start blogging about our progress at the gym. Wish me luck as I try to kick myself in the pants!

Weekly goal for the week is to go to the gym 3 days for my own workout, plus squeezing in a workout between swim lessons on Saturday.
